These surveys come out every year around Mother's Day. Basically, they add up all the jobs that mothers do and figure out how much you would have to pay to get someone to do all of that work.

The result is always a pretty impressive figure. This year the study is at WNBC.com.

The latest results are in - a stay-at-home mom is worth almost $117,000. The survey came up with a lower figure for working moms, possibly because they hire out some of the tasks.

I wonder what the value of a work-at-home mom would have been?

The same article also references a fun Salary.com tool to calculate a mom's worth. You can customize the results based on the age of your children and even your location.

Of course, those of us who are moms know our true worth already.
