Free Resources for You and For Your Home Business: THE List of Lists
A common perception is that it's expensive to start a business. While there's some truth to the perception, there are also ways to save money.

I decided to go looking for free, or low cost, resources that might be of interest to work-at-home parents. I succeeded in finding many free and low-cost business resources.

Instead of focusing on a list of single no-cost resources, however, I decided to focus on links that list multiple free resources. Each of the links below contains information about more than one (in some cases, dozens) free resource to help you manage your business or your life.

Here's THE list of free resources:

  1. From lifehack.org, DIY Education: Teach Yourself - A great list of free educational resources.

  2. From Lorelle on Wordpress, Blogging Resources: Business and Professional Resources and References for Bloggers and Writers - A great list of mostly free resources for bloggers.

  3. From Chrisg.com, Two More Free Blog-Boosting Resources - More resources for bloggers.

  4. From eMoms At Home, 10 Free Resources to Start or Grow a Home Based Business - Help for home business startups.

  5. From lifehack.org, The Ultimate Writing Productivity Resource - List of mostly free resources for writers.

  6. From Entrepreneur.com, FormNet(r) - Free business forms.

  7. From Web Worker Daily, (Mostly) Free Resources for the Web Worker Who Works on the Web - A great list of mostly free online tools.

  8. Federal Resources for Educational Excellence - Free educational resources from the government. (It looks terrific for homeschoolers!)

  9. From Business and Blogging, Free E-books for Small Business Owners!! - Download free e-books for your business.

What about you? Did you find this post helpful? What was your favorite resource?

Nice list, Laura. Tamara and I started our business with about $250, which we paid back in the first couple of weeks. That says to me that freelance writing is a great way to start your own business.

Hi LornaDoone!
When I tell people how little I spent to start my business, they don't believe me.
