Loneliness can be especially prevalent for those home office workers who have been accustomed to working in an office environment with other adults in the past.
Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way. With Twitter, adult "conversation" is just a mouseclick away. Twitterers can tweet about nearly any topic with other twitter users that they have chosen to follow.
Recently, I've started using Twitter and I've discovered that twittering is a close approximation to the office banter that was part of the cubicle environment that I used to work in. (In fact, my coworkers are about the only part of that environment that I really miss.)
Apparently, I'm not the only work-at-home mom (WAHM) on Twitter. EMom, Wendy Piersall, compiled a giant list of twittering moms last week. If you don't know who to follow at first, you out to be able to find someone on this list.
Oh, yes. If you're interested, then you can also follow me: TXWriter.
What about you? Do you twitter? How do you like it?

Twitter is a phenomenal social networking tool for bloggers, something I cannot overemphasize enough for bloggers.
I've seen a number of derogatory posts from people saying they just "don't get Twitter", and I believe it's likely due to not using Twitter the way it is intended to be used.
Successful social networking, with or without Twitter, is about building relationships with other bloggers. Really getting to know them on a more personal basis.
Twitter is not about doing nothing but posting links to our own blog posts. By far, the number of links I provide on Twitter are often showcasing posts from other people that I think my followers would enjoy reading, and possibly commenting on.
I've said many times, you have to "give to get", and that includes every social networking site out there. People who "don't get it" don't because they're primarily thinking of themselves only, desperate to receive attention and traffic to their sites, and then whine when it doesn't happen for them.
Ok, enough of my rant. :)
