One of the things that you escape when you work from home is the annual company Christmas party, right?
Right, and WRONG.
Even though, as a work-at-home mom, your business may not have a company party, you may still be invited to other holiday get togethers.
- If you've been networking and belong to local groups in your field, then it's likely that one or more of these groups will hold a Christmas party.
- If you're married, it's possible that you will be invited to attend a company party with your spouse.
- If you have clients that are local, they may invite you to their company party.
These seasonal gatherings can be an excellent opportunity to network further, if you are careful. However, if you are not careful, you might easily find yourself leaving a negative impression that will make it more difficult to network in the future.
Here are some posts from around the blogosphere to help you survive at any holiday parties that you attend:![]()

I work from home and simply do not miss those Christmas parties. I actually enjoy more going to my children's class and friends parties and socializing with those adults. Things are more relaxed and less assuming.
