Snow Globe "Boy" Spends Three Days in a Snow Globe: How Far Will You Go To Promote Your Business?
A 24-year old at an advertising agency has spent nearly three days in an inflatable snow globe. You can actually see him in the snow globe via webcam at his site or you can read more about it on CBS News.

I have to admit, for some reason when I first read this story I thought that the snow globe was out of doors. Snow Globe Boy's location is only a few hours from here, and it's been cold these past few days. So, I thought that Snow Globe Boy might really be roughing it.

Don't get me wrong - the news stories didn't say this. I just thought it when I saw the headlines.

The webcams, however, told a different story. Snow Globe Boy is relaxing in a Snow Globe inside a nice warm office building.

The story of Snow Globe Bloy does illustrate one thing, however. That is how far some people are willing to go to promote their business. Snow Globe Boy, his site, and his agency have been getting all kinds of publicity from this stunt.

Snow Globe Boy was number one on Google Trends this morning. The national news has picked the story up. Plus, he's gotten an interview with the CBS Early Show. I know a lot of businesses that would pay to get that kind of public relations!

Admittedly, sitting in a snow globe is publicity stunt that would really only work around Christmas time. Still, you've got to admire the boldness of Snow Globe Boy.

What about you? What kind of lengths would you go to get publicity for your business? I'm not saying that you should sit in a snow globe, but what risks would you be willing to take?

Hmm.. This may not be too drastic a move. But I'm willing to offer a 100% money back guarantee for my SEO clients.

What about you Laura?

Hi Alfa!

I have sort of a low key approach to business, so sitting in a snow globe wouldn't fit my personality. I prefer to drive my business by providing top quality writing.

However, I have met a lot of people who would be comfortable sitting in a snow globe (or doing other equally outrageous things) to draw attention to their business.

I think it's a question of personality.
