Do you see a need? Make a plan to meet it today. It's okay to start small when your business is small. Just do it.
How can you find the right charity? This question keeps a lot of people from giving.
JustGive.org is a nonprofit with the objective of matching people and businesses to charities. (This is just one of several ways to find the right organization, you can also check with the Better Business Bureau, or with one of the agencies that monitors charities.)
There is a search tool in the left corner of the JustGive site that allows you to search for a specific charity or browse the available charities. You can also give a gift in someone's name. The site provides gift certificates and a wedding registry. If you want to purchase something specific for a charity, there are charity wish lists.
What about you? Is charitable giving a part of your business plan?
