Over at Home Biz Notes, Yvonne Russell conducted an interesting survey. She asked her readers what difference a million dollars would make to their home businesses. Most of her readers responded that they'd expand their business.
I think that liking what you do is especially important for home business owners.
First of all, a home business owner doesn't have a manager or supervisor to keep him or her accountable. If something has to be done, it's up to the business owner to make sure that it gets down.
Secondly, a home business owner doesn't have coworkers close by to get help from. If a home business has a question, they will need to find a way to answer it themselves.
Finally, a home business owner doesn't have the support of a large corporation behind their efforts. Regardless of the product or service they offer, they must also handle sales, accounting, billing, and taxes.
Do I love my work? I would have to say "yes." While there are some specific tasks that I enjoy more than others, I definitely love my work. I feel fortunate to be able to work from home.
What about you? Do you love your work?

I SO love my work that I will definitely still be doing it even if I don't get paid - particularly the blogging and research part for my VA clients.
It's something that I've always been enjoying doing even when I still didn't know that I can get paid doing those tasks.
