Do You Love Your Work?
Do you love your work? I mean REALLY love it. Would you do it even if you didn't have to?

Over at Home Biz Notes, Yvonne Russell conducted an interesting survey. She asked her readers what difference a million dollars would make to their home businesses.  Most of her readers responded that they'd expand their business.

I think that liking what you do is especially important for home business owners.

First of all, a home business owner doesn't have a manager or supervisor to keep him or her accountable. If something has to be done, it's up to the business owner to make sure that it gets down.

Secondly, a home business owner doesn't have coworkers close by to get help from. If a home business has a question, they will need to find a way to answer it themselves.

Finally, a home business owner doesn't have the support of a large corporation behind their efforts. Regardless of the product or service they offer, they must also handle sales, accounting, billing, and taxes.

Do I love my work? I would have to say "yes." While there are some specific tasks that I enjoy more than others, I definitely love my work. I feel fortunate to be able to work from home.

What about you? Do you love your work?

I SO love my work that I will definitely still be doing it even if I don't get paid - particularly the blogging and research part for my VA clients.

It's something that I've always been enjoying doing even when I still didn't know that I can get paid doing those tasks.

Hi Laura

Thanks for linking to Home Biz Notes. The poll results were interesting. I agree that a passion for what you do is key to sustaining motivation.

Being able to combine a passion and work is something special.

Hi Alfa and Yvonne!

Thanks for your input. I do think that passion plays an important role in running a business.

Laura, I don't work at home, but I love my job.

In fact, I was blogging about and trying to do my job before I even got my job! It certainly feels great :)

That's great Phil! I'm sure that your passion for the job will help you to succeed.
