
Some home and small business owners have difficulty finding health insurance. Because of the expense and red tape, a few even choose to do without health insurance for themselves and their families.
Health insurance, or lack thereof, is a particular concern for the work-at-home mom in the United States. But, it is an important concern. You never know when you might become sick and need to use your insurance.
I definitely do not recommend going without health insurance. Although you may not feel an immediate need for health insurance, it is in the best interest of you and your family to obtain coverage.
While private health insurance can be difficult to obtain, individual health insurance policies are not impossible to get. Don't forget that in the United States you may also be able to establish a medical savings account or a health savings account with pre-tax dollars. Ask your accountant if you are eligible for either of those programs and for details on how to set one up.
