
I found this list of Thirteen Tricks to Motivate Yourself by Scott H Young at lifehack.org. My immediate thought was: this is a great resource for home and small business owners who might be starting to get discouraged or overwhelmed. (What home business owner hasn't faced discouragement from time to time?)
My favorites from Scott's motivation list were:
- Go for Five - a technique of just starting to work for five minutes in order to get going. (I had honestly never thought of this idea before.)

- Read Books - I love books and I feel like I can never read enough. I always feel refreshed after I've read for a while.
- Build on Success - you know have them. They're those moments that you feel like you've really accomplished what you set out to do, no matter how small. It feels good and Scott suggests that this feeling of satisfaction is a motivator.
