If your house is like mine, the next few weeks will be busy with preparation for the
upcoming school year. There are supplies to be bought, transportation to arrange, and schedules to adjust to.
Over at HomeBizNotes Mary Emma has an excellent post on Does "Back-To-School" Affect Your Home Business?
One of the questions that Mary Emma asks in her post is how having youngsters going back to school will affect our home business schedule.
- No impact at all. This WAHM has toddlers and preschoolers at home all year round. Her children are not going back to school this year and her work schedule will not change much.
- More uninterrupted time. The WAHM with school age children who are returning to class this year may now be able to take on more projects as she finds her self with more time during the day to work on projects.
- Less uninterrupted time. The homeschooling WAHM may now be ramping up her homeschool curriculum for the year. She may have to adjust (and perhaps reduce) her work schedule to fit her family's homeschool needs.
I find myself in category two, my school age children will be returning to school this year.
Which type of WAHM are you? Leave me a comment and let me know.
