Work-at-Home-Moms (WAHMs) have made the big time, I thought. We're getting some media attention. We've got our own talk radio show now. Could a TV show be far behind?
As soon as I got finished with my projects today I rushed over to the Work at Home Moms Talk Radio website. It turns out that these are basically podcasts. I went ahead and listened to the latest show to see if I could learn anything.
First of all, I have to say that I think that Work at Home Moms Talk Radio is a great idea. Imagine if you could listen in on business tips while you worked.
The show has business tips and interviews with other WAHMs about their businesses. Although the first interview I heard wasn't directly applicable to me, the second interview was with another writer (which is my business). Naturally, I enjoyed listening to the interview with the writer.
I have to say, I think that blogs and the Internet have spoiled me. I wanted to skim over the advertisements and get to the good tips and the interviews. I couldn't do it though (or maybe I could and I just haven't figured out how). I had to wait through each and every ad. Because I'm impatient, I guess this made it seem slow-moving to me.
If you're the sort that likes to listen to background noise while you work, you might want to check this radio show out. You may pick something interesting up. I'll be checking back on this show from time to time to see if there are any new developments.
If you decide to listen to this show, leave me a comment and let me know what you think about it.

Yes, I agree, the ads can be a bit annoying, but if you are listening to these podcasts while doing dishes or something equally mundane, it´s fine. :D Makes you feel like you´re accomplishing some work while doing the drudgery!
