When you make the decision to work from home, you have to consider whether or
not you want to work for yourself or work for someone else. A work from home job is much different from a work from home business. Here are a few things you should know about each:
- You’ll be working for someone else
- You’ll receive payment in the form of a salary or hourly wage
- You don’t need to pay any money to get started. (And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise)

- You may only need to work a set amount of hours
- You might not enjoy every task
If you wish to start your own work from home business:

- It’ll be up to you to find your own clients
- It’s up to you to promote and sell your business
- You’ll be handling, or at least overseeing, all administrative tasks
- You may have to invest more than eight hours each day of your own time
- You may keep all profits
- You’ll have to be sure to enjoy what you do, since you’re investing your time and money
- There’s a chance your business might not succeed
