School has ended and summer break is on. It’s time for me to assess my situation and figure out my summer schedule. Even though my son will be attending a day
camp four mornings a week, I’ll still be working less because we spend our afternoons enjoying our pool or at the park or another great summer activity.
I know a lot of moms who take on less work during the summer because it conflicts with their summer activities, but I can’t afford to do this. Instead, I cut back on personal projects. I read less in the evenings or watch less television in order to keep up. Even though I do my best to keep up with all my blogs, I do go on a shortened schedules with the blogs I own, so I don’t neglect the ones owned by others.
Lots of people think that because I work at home, I don’t have to work during the summer and this isn’t true at all. I just have to find ways to make it work. And you know what? I’m not the only mom with a laptop at the park, either!
