After pinpointing my greatest challenges as a work at home mom, my next step is to address these challenges and come up with a plan to make them a little less challenging. My first challenge, time, has been addressed here many times. Summer has me way behind schedule. How do I work full time and still spend time with my family? There are many ways I deal with this, but there are a couple of things which work the best.
First, I wake up a few hours before my family. I know, not everyone can wake at 4:00, but for me this is temporary. Next year my son will be in school and day camp full time, and finding time won’t be an issue anymore.
I also switch off with friends. Either a friend comes here to play for a couple of hours, or I drop him my son at a friend’s. Either way, he’s occupied and I get some work done. Besides, friends his own age are a lot more fun than playing with his old mom. Day camp four mornings a week also helps.
I still find myself challenged for time, but these small changes are helping me to meet all my deadlines and requirements, without sacrificing trips to the playground and beach or afternoons in the swimming pool. I’m a firm believer in summer time being family time and I’m happy to make the adjustment.

Time is a big issue for me as well. I have two children under the age of 2, which doesn’t help! However, my baby gets me up at 4 am and I usually just stay up to work from then until 6, when my toddler gets up.
Sounds like you have some good solutions there, with switching off kids and a day camp. Wouldn’t mind a day camp around here, myself!
