Want free advertising? Safelists, lists of people who sign up to review and exchange advertising email, are one way to bring more traffic to your website or blog. While some may write them off as spam, the truth is, they’re not. Everyone who receives email from safelists do so by request.
No one reading your mail will consider it spam, that means a high open rate.
TheMadVlad.com offers a way to receive tons of free advertising via safelists, and it’s all free. In fact, when you sign up, your email will reach over 5,000 mailboxes. Granted, there’s no way to guarantee all 5,000+ will read YOUR email, but the odds of directing a percentage of that towards your site, and your products, are pretty darn good.
It probably doesn’t hurt to point out that once you sign up you’ll receive tons of mail, at least 100 per day. Lest you think you can set of a free email account and forget about it, you should know there are a few rules. Full mailboxes aren’t allowed and you’re expected to check and empty your mailbox once a week. Also, TheMadVlad.com doesn’t accept hate mail, or anything of an adult, racist, harmful or illegal matter. This is good news for advertisers who’d rather not have their ads mixed in with those of a “questionable” nature.
If this sounds like a good idea to you, visit the MadVlad.com website and read some of the testimonials provided by some happy people and decide for yourself. Hey, it’s free. What have you got to lose?

I used trackback URL to monitor monitor my free advertising rate of return. Other than craigslist, i haven't had too much ROI on other free advertising forums. I would recommend possibly building your own list and provide them with useful info. Using a series of autoresonders to deliver a free email course and then advertise. On the net, not many people are ready to make a purchase. Most are searching for info. So like Ken Envoy suggest..."presell". Its like a relationship. Build the trust through service of providing useful info. Position yourself as an expert.
