Devoted to WAHMs -Work at Home Moms

My name is Deborah Ng. Many of you know me as the proprietrix of the popular Freelance Writing Jobs blog. I started FWJ as a service to Work at Home Moms. At the time, I felt many WAHMs were being taken advantage of as they were accepting any offer, as long as it enabled them to earn money so they could stay at home with their kids.

I never expected much from my little writing blog, but it turned out to be popular and profitable. It soon became my baby and I learned how to promote and monetize. Thanks to two years of building blogs and six years of freelance writing, I easily landed gigs with About.com and b5 Media. Today, I’m pleased and honored to announce my latest gig, as Know More Media’s Work at Home Momma.

As a work at home mom for five years, I feel I have plenty to offer in the way of advice and commiseration. I know what it’s like to work with a youngster clamoring for attention and understand the stress and pressures associated with handling two jobs. Most important, I’m proof a WAHM can stay home and still be successful. As I believe blogging to be an interactive experience, I hope you’ll leave your thoughts and comments.
