It's Ok Not to Work Sometimes

Ever have one of those days when you don’t feel like doing much of anything? My son was home today with a barking cough, I sat on the couch with his head in my lap and we watched the Cars movie together. Every now and then I thought about what I really needed to be doing, but then my son would cough or ask a question and I knew I was exactly where I needed to be.

I think a common mistake made by many work at homes is the feeling that we always have to be working. All downtime should be spent at the computer, why is this? My son’s cough reminds me I’m a stay at home mom because family comes first. If that means the work has to hang out on the backburner for every now and then, so be it.
