One of the complaints that some people can make about working from home is the isolation they feel without face-to-face dealings with co-workers or customers.![]()
This is where a home-based business that still allows you to get out of the house can be a great option for you. Kind of the best of both worlds. You can still remain flexible, take care of paperwork, phone calls, and other tasks from home but get out there in public and work it too!
One such field that can not only take you out of the house but even out of the city or state is contract sales. Depending on the company you work for you can remain local or be required to work a larger territory.
Of course the downside is that it is usually pure commission based. But hey! That might not be a downside if it keeps you motivated and actually pays better than any hourly wage could.
I came across a company today that is hiring for all regions. The company is Pure Colors, Inc. and can be found at www.purecolorsinc.com. Here are some highlights from the ad I found.
OUTSIDE SALES TO SPA, SALON AND BEAUTY BOUTIQUE MARKET
PURE COLORS. Inc. is a family owned and operated mineral cosmetic company in its 11th year of operation. We supply 100% pure pigment makeup to the spa and salon market. We have over 300 individual colors. The largest selection in the mineral makeup industry. We offer the highest quality with no fillers, talc, scents or harmful petrol-chemical ingredients that traditional cosmetics assault women with. ![]()
Our mission is to double our sales within 12 months. How? By offering top industry pay to motivated, intelligent people, hungry for a new professional adventure. You contact spas’, salon's and beauty boutique's in your area. Demonstrate the products usage and versatility to them. When they place an order, you let us know and we ship the product directly to them. You don't have to stock any merchandise beyond your demonstration samples. When we receive an order through you, you receive a percentage of the sale through us (12%-22% commiserate with experience). As we continue to get repeat orders, you continue to get the sales percentage.
This is not a get rich quick scheme. I'm not going to quote you some inflated best case scenario pay. This is a long term, committed contract sales position with a long-standing family owned and operated company. How much you make is entirely dependant on how motivated you are.
We are kicking the doors wide open to offer you the opportunity to join our team. All regions available!

Okay, I bolded the part that you should pay close attention to. If you don't have direct experience in sales but you were a PTA president or held a church calling etc. that required you to get volunteers, donations, and in short solicit and sell an idea, event, or product-you have sales experience. Just come up with a kicking resume and then sell yourself in a cover letter. Some things can't be taught or learned. It just comes naturally.
Check out the website, do some preliminary background research into makeup sales, your area and how the density of spas, salons and beauty shops stacks up and decide if this is something for you.

Hello. I'm a 48 year old male who is unemployed at this time. I've been looking for some kind of home based work that is for real that involves data input or typing or something on that order that I can make at least $500 weekly or more but I don't know who to believe on the World Wide Web. I do know my way around a computer and a keyboard. Which ones are scams and which ones are not. That is the real problem. I don't have very much money to invest. I would like to use my PC's for more than something to look at. I live in Sanford, Fla. ***-***-****.I would love to here from someone who is on top of things. Thanks Much.
