The following are the qualifications for the concierge positions:
Qualifications:
- Concierge positions are available for the following states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.
- 2+ years related customer service experience.
- Hospitality and Service orientation a must, direct experience is highly desirable;
- Some college required. Degree preferred;
- Internet savvy – ability to obtain information quickly utilizing online resources and search engines;
- Computer literacy required - able to successfully navigate and maneuver across multiple applications simultaneously including our CRM application, AOL Instant Messenger, Internet Explorer, MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Able to learn quickly in a technical environment;
- Able to type at least 35 wpm;
- Highly resourceful, strong investigative nature, and knowledge of various market offerings;
- Outstanding customer satisfaction and follow through skills; understanding the highest levels of customer service;
- Polite, friendly and knowledgeable phone demeanor;
- Detail oriented, ability to multitask, strong sense of urgency, and commitment to excellence;
- Capable of applying experience, training and learned skills when fulfilling standard requests according to specified company standards, policies and procedures as well as any client specializations;

- Remote Concierge will be required to supply a computer and telephone that meet the minimum hardware requirements (see requirements below for details).
The following items are what you, as the concierge, are required to provide:
- Operating System - Windows XP OR Windows 2000 Pro with service pack 2 (Windows ME and MAC are not supported)
- MS Office - Including Word and Excel
- Memory - 512 MB RAM or higher
- Web Browser - Minimum: IE 6 with service pack 1
- Internet Access – 1 .5 Mbps High Speed Internet Access - DSL or Cable Modem (Dial up, Satellite, and Wireless Connections are NOT allowed). Additionally the concierge must have an e-mail account with at least 250MB e-mail storage.
- Telephone - Analog (not digital), corded phone (Not Cordless), key pad needs to be on the base (can not be on handset), the handset needs to be removable (cord from jack), a good brand such as Sony, AT&T and Panasonic.
- Telephone Access - One work phone line (land line only) dedicated to VIPdesk.
- Fax- Ability to receive and send faxes.
- Monitor - 800 x 600 resolution
- Sound - Sound card with speakers or USB speakers (PC with USB support).
- Instant Messenger - Required (AIM)
- Anti-Virus Software - Current and regularly updated anti-virus software required (Norton Anti-Virus preferred).
- Home Office - Home office is in a separate room that is noise free and has a door with locks.
- Shredder Machine – Required
- File Cabinets - Required to have file cabinet with lock.
After you submit your resume and answer a questionnaire via their website, which should take about 30-45 minutes to complete, you will have to pass a credit check where they are looking for the following:
- Current accounts placed for collection or accounts charged off as bad debt.
- Excessive history of late payments or current accounts with late payments.
- Substantial debt as a percentage of position’s salary, even if in good standing.
