This is the third post, the second follow up, on the new work at home agent program that Sento has launched here in Utah. The first post told about the initial application process, the first follow up post told about the next step and then this post will explain the next step in the process.
After a comment from one of my blog's readers was made about getting hired soon after submitting their type score information I wondered why I hadn't been contacted myself. I waited a week and then sent an email to the person who had sent me the link to the type test. I received an immediate response that day stating that they didn't have a record of my test score being submitted but did I remember it? I sent an email reply stating my wpm score and asking if I should retake it and resubmit it.
I then received a phone call later that day asking me a few general questions about the available position and what my type test score had been and giving me an opportunity to ask any questions. Then I was asked if I would be interested in a phone interview. I set up a phone interview, which I was told would be about 15 minutes.
I ended up having to call back and reschedule the phone interview 2 more times since they failed to call. This is a new venture for this company and they apologized greatly about missing the appointments and thanked me for my patience and persistance.
I finally got my interview today where they asked about past work experience and familiarity with computer programs and whether my computer and connection fit their criteria.
The pay, as mentioned by Kelly in the blog comments, is $9 an hour with a shift differential of $.65 for the graveyard shift. They had both part-time and full-time positions. The training is full time for two weeks. The position they had available now consisted of emails and chat correspondence - no phone work.
After you finish the phone interview, they offer you or don't offer you a job right on the spot. Then you will get a call to set up your schedule - both your working schedule and your training schedule. I am now just waiting for that call. The woman I spoke with didn't have a full list of the available work schedules but some of them were:
- 11:30 am to 9:00 pm
- 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- 12:30 am to 8:30 am

Hi Marta,
Snooks here AGAIN! I also applied for Sento. I took the type test but have never heard back from them. I figured it is because I am too slow, 38WPM 1 error. But, after reading your write-up maybe it is only because they are so disorganized. Or they never received my results??? Who knows?
I know one thing, between each phase of the interviewing process it would take a long time for them to respond back after I would submit a particular result that was the next part of the interview process. Makes me feel like, mmmm, ahhh, no. I really don't think I want to work for a company this disorganized. Let someone else be the ginnie pig. I just quit O'Currance and they have been around for supposedly 12 years and they were still pretty disorganized.
By the way. Have you ever heard of Women With Dreams? Just thought I'd ask since we seem to be crossing paths at a lot of these work-at-home places!
snooks
P.S. I am seriously considering eBay. Which offers not just working from home but being your own boss. I am rapidly getting tired of "company politics" and excuse the expression, but feeling like "I'm being jacked around." I ran my own business once years ago for almost 14+ years so maybe, just maybe.
My sweet, old Uncle does eBay and makes pretty good extra pocket money to supplement his Social Security retirement bene's. Yeah, so maybe. Geeze, I have set-up a pay pal account. We shall see.
