Jean Pederson and Barbara Lundberg are two entrepreneurs that decided to start their own business away from corporate glamour after re-prioritizing their lives to place raising a family first while still achieving the dream of business ownership.
Their business, CardWorks, was started with the idea that if you treat people well they will keep coming back. CardworksOnline offers a variety of sales and marketing tools that allow businesses of any size to keep in contat with their valuable clients and add that special touch necessary to stand out against the competition.
After being in business for only fifteen months they were bought out by Nancy Simmons and her daughter Kelly Rex. After starting a business consulting firm in northwest Pennsylvania she began looking for a new business where she could practice what she preached about entrepreneurship and women owned businesses.
They have taken their individual strengths-Kelly is an artist and photographer-and translated that into a fast-growing business that all began from two women at home.
If you take away one thing from this post let it be that you have strengths that you can use to start your own business. Bring in others who have strengths that compliment yours and you might just be as successful as Barbara and Jean were.
