Hey, we all know the power of persuasive advertising. The kind that makes you want to rush to the store and buy the lastest kids cereal (and I'm not talking about the kids begging for it, yeah, you know what I mean!) or to dial a 1-800 number to buy the lastest in weight loss herbal supplements or that nifty slicer, dicer, chopper, clothes washer combo.
Work from home websites are no different-worse yes, different no. The above photo was taken from a website that offered information on work from home positions. Of course THEY didn't offer much information.
Here's what they offer:
Let us show you how to earn more money staying home with your kids than you ever could in the office!
- Put your children first
- Take a few hours a week and turn it into a spare-time income of $100's or $1,000's
- Make a full-time income around your children's schedules
- Take all-expense paid vacations with your family
- And much more!
Sounds good huh? Well that's it. You don't get any more info until you give them all YOUR info. After filling out a very detailed questionnaire you are promised: One or more business consultants will call or email you soon. Yeah, I bet!!
If you feel intriqued enough to fill one of these out use a dumby email account so you don't fill your regular email box up with tons of solicitations, junk, and spam. I would caution you in giving out your phone number. This website was a bit different than others I have found. They offer a privacy policy that does spell out the fact that they are selling your information to third parties that offer work-from-home opportunities.

Just goes to show how insincere they really are. Their bottom dollar is more important to them than the people who come their way really looking for help. The ad is their to provide emotional stimulus to get someone to press the i will buy button. This is ok, but if you put customers first you will generate larger trust bridges, which in return will generate long term customer loyalty with greater long term customer value. In other words they will spend more. Online customers expect a bit more and information support is one of them. Customer centered they are not, but should be for longer and consistent success.
