Are you worried that your lack of a bachelors or higher degree is going to hamper your efforts to start your own business or telecommute for another business?
Click here to find out what an advanced degree is really worth! But seriously folks just because you don't have a degree doesn't mean you can't make it big on your own, working from home. It also doesn't mean that you shouldn't get your degree if you feel that is a goal you want to accomplish. I know I am working on my first degree and it is hard while trying to work full-time and care for a large family but hey! Isn't it worth it in the long run?
With that being said just because you already have a degree doesn't mean you can't stop learning. To make it in this world you have to keep moving. Take refresher courses in your area of expertise as well as in other areas that you aren't such a smarty pants in. Diversify your education as you would your investments. You never know when the bottom will drop out of your particular business emphasis so flexibility is the the key to survival.
Don't get all comfy in your MBA cocoon. Depending on how long ago you got your degree you might not be much better off then someone without one especially if you have been snoozing in your corner office while the rest of the world is up and running!
What does this have to do with working from home? Not much other than a have not railing at the haves! But really, to make it on your own in the work at home world you really need to have as much ammo as possible. A degree can't hurt. If you can't get a degree right now take some classes and courses in finance, accounting, and other business practices so you at least SOUND like you know what you are doing and are better prepared for the issues that come into play when you are a work-at-home agent or independent contractor.

Don't forget, Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard to start Microsoft. While you don't absolutely need a degree, it certainly can help open doors. In the context of working from home, it may not bring all the much to the table.
