In the battle of career moms and stay-at-home moms there is now a third contender-work-at-home moms! The battle has been raging for years with each side pointing fingers and tsk tsking. Why are women so defensive about the lifestyle choices they have made? Do we second guess ourselves and wonder if we have made the right decision?
The belief that one side has it better or worse than the other side is a common misconception and there is almost no way for one side to know what the other side is going through without going through it themselves. Am I right? I so love to be right!
Now enter the amalgam-career-stay-at-home mom.
In one fell swoop we manage to solve the problem. No more career moms accusing at-home moms of losing their identity in soaps, suds, and socks. No more at-home moms accusing career moms of leaving kids and hubby to fend for themselves while they climb the career ladder in heels and a suit. We work-at-home moms have it made! No one knows what to accuse us of because they don't even know who we are.
I hope to find more and more hybrids like me to showcase on this blog. If you know of anyone or are a science experiment yourself let me know. It will be fun and informative to highlight the work-at-home moms (and dads too for that matter) and while we are at it give inspiration for all the wannabes out there.

Work-at-home moms really have it made. Working from home truly gives a woman the satisfaction of making something of herself without sacrificing her traditional duty of caring for the home and raising the family. She can't lose in the long run: she would have the career she wanted without fearing that she would wake up one morning and find that her children are grown up and are strangers to her. I am not a mom yet, but I would prefer working from home and see my kids grow before my eyes rather than be a corporate biggie and yet a stranger to my family.
