I failed one of the tests on my certification with West Inc. and if you fail it twice you are locked out of their system for 6 months! I actually did this for two reasons:
- I clicked on the test accidentally instead of the tutorial right above it and once you begin the test it is too late to turn back. (You are given two chances)
- I wanted to see what happens when you fail a test so I could report to my blog readers.
I am telling you they have a pretty neat training set up but it is very time intensive. You can go over the tutorials as many times as you want but even just one time through each of them would take hours since there are 25 or more to go through.
I learned that if you are selected to certify for the national pizza chain project you would actually be working to take pizza call in orders. You need to become familiar with the order screens, menu, coupons, and meal deals. You could be taking orders for a restaurant in New Jersey while living in Texas.
Do you think one day you'll be calling to order a pizza for delivery and you'll be talking to someone in India? Could be!
You also verify name, address, and phone number information and accept credit card payments. I guess that is where the background check comes into play.
Dang, now I have to wait 6 more months although I did explain how I made the mistake in choosing the wrong test. I have asked for another chance. We'll see how that goes.

Seems like I had a similar issue. I tried to hit the back button to review the answers and the screen clocked for awhile and went blank and then my failing score popped up. I immediatley contacted someone but they refused to give me another chance. I wonder why the waiting period is 6 months- no one seems to want to answer my questions when I email them...
