One of our readers mentioned Willow CSN Incorporated as a work from home option-one that she has worked for since September.
In just the initial information gleened from this website I would be very hesitant to apply for a 'job' with them. Let me explain why.
Any job that requires money from you should be investigated thoroughly. This company explains that you would be one among at least 2000 or more of a pool of 'virtual independent contractors'. This is a way of saying you are totally responsible for your income taxes. That is par for the course if you plan on working from home in any type of freelance work.
This company takes that a bit further and requires expensive training and certifications without any guarantee that you will be offered any projects or jobs.
Here is how they break it down for starters:
Q. What is the total investment (cost) of becoming a CyberCorp (work from home) agent?
A. The average investment ranges from $400 to $600. If your computer is already in compliance with Willow's minimum requirements. This covers the:
| Application Fee | $25 |
| Background Check Fee | $20 |
| Incorporation | $100+ (Varies by State) |
| High-Speed Internet Access | $100 |
| Phone Equipment and Dedicated Line | $145 |
| CA101 | $75 |
Client Training ranges from $100 to $225.
All prices and fees quoted are subject to change; some may vary by state or Vendor.
If you have the money to invest you might be willing to give it a try but if the training applies to projects for this company alone you might want to spend that on training that can actually be used no matter where you work.
I would love to hear feedback from those who are working for this company so they can tell us a bit more about what they do, the training involved, and the jobs made available.
